This is Finder on a MacBook Pro, far from home. The drives plugged into the Studio Mac at home are in the sidebar. Open one, play a clip and copy a file to the laptop, then make a share link on the Studio Mac.

Open a drive
ClickTap Studio Mac in the sidebar, then double-clicktap Open on Media Drive.
Play a clip
Open Coast Film, then double-clickselect and tap Open on Coast_04.mov. It plays straight from the drive at home, and only the part you watch is sent.
Copy a file to this laptop
Drag a clip from Coast Film onto Downloads in the sidebar.Select a clip in Coast Film, tap ··· and choose Copy. Open Downloads, tap ··· and choose Paste Item. The drives at home are read-only from here, so files only come this way. The copy is sped up in this demo.
Share a link from home
Links are made on the Mac the drives are plugged into. Open the MountedStorage menu, its folder icon at the end of the Studio Mac strip below, and choose Share a Link…. Alex, who you send it to, opens it in the free MountedStorage app on their Mac, which asks before downloading it into Downloads.
